Last week I went on a school trip with all of my students (yes, all 92 of them) to Los Angeles. It seemed like a crazy idea, but the trip was a success. I took my camera with me and snapped as many pictures as I could. Here are my favorites:

Okay, I realize this probably isn’t a big deal, but I just successfully created my own favicon and installed it on my site! I’m kind of in love with it. It’s a picture of one of the pillars of the Golden Gate Bridge (very bay area appropriate) but the perspective of the photo makes it look like an “A” for Andree!
Yes, I’m a nerd.
my new camera

For graduation, I bought myself a new camera. And then my parents decided that they would help out and pay for half (thanks Mom and Dad!). So here she is, my new Canon Rebel XSi:

I’ll be completely honest – I don’t really know how to use it yet. But I’m pleased with the pictures I’ve taken so far, and I’m excited to learn more about the camera and photography in general. There will be many pictures to come… I still have a bunch of stuff to upload from recent bay area adventures, and this camera is definitely going with me to Asia next week.
