1. This week has been exhausting but yet super amazing. Both are because I’m a teacher.
2. Speaking of teachers, there was a lot of talk about teachers on last night’s episode of The Daily Show. During the interview with Diane Ravitch, they discussed the increasing role of testing in schools and how teachers are blamed for it. At one point Jon Stewart said, “God forbid you do the job of a teacher for a year. It will blow your mind at how hard it is.” I don’t agree with everything that was said in the interview, but it was definitely interesting. 3. Here’s a joke for you: Why do elephants have flat feet? From jumping out of trees!

5. I’m headed to Tahoe tonight! I can’t ski or board due to a lingering sprained ankle, so I’m planning to spend the weekend in the snow relaxing and getting caught up grading.  At least we’re getting out town for a couple of days.
