When I moved into my current apartment, my friend (and previous roommate) Haley gave me a beautiful blue hydrangea as a house-warming gift.  I named her Phyllis after the character on one of my favorite TV shows, The Office.  In case you were wondering, I name most everything.  Anyway, Phyllis survived for a few months on the kitchen table but she was always a little sad and droopy.  So after a new pot and a move to the balcony, Phyllis began to thrive.  She’s now in her second year and looking to redefine herself.  Well, at least that’s what I think since (surprise!) she’s blooming in pink this spring.
